Ha Noi continued to lead in the Provincial Innovation Index (PII) 2024 released by the Ministry of Science and Technology on December 30.

The capital city scored 60.76 points, followed by Ho Chi Minh City (55.81), Hai Phong (52.39), Ba Ria-Vung Tau province (50.67), Da Nang (48.99), Quang Ninh province (47.82), Can Tho (46.01), Binh Duong (45.49), Thai Nguyen (44.23), Bac Giang (43.53).

Cao Bang province scored the least point with 23.95, ranking bottom out of 63 centrally-run cities and provinces nationwide.

The Provincial Innovation Index, based on 52 indicators in seven categories, is a useful reference for businesses trying to decide on the scale and form of their investment in a locality. It also contributes to implementing the National Strategy for Science, Technology and Innovation Development and the Sustainable Development Goals./.
