Under the theme "Green Transition – Green Future," Earth Hour was jointly organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Viet Nam and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, attracting participation from all 63 provinces and cities to turn lights off for one hour from 8:30 p.m to 9:30 pm on Saturday.

Launched in Sydney, Australia, in 2007, Earth Hour is a global environmental initiative aimed at raising awareness about energy conservation and climate action.

This initiative extends beyond electricity conservation to promoting sustainable energy production, renewable energy use, and energy-efficient technologies, enhancing both economic and environmental benefits.

This year marks the 17th year Viet Nam has taken part in the campaign./.
