Ministry of Finance begins with hardship and learns lessons in the people's hearts
(TBTCO) - On September 2, 1945, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence in Hanoi's Ba Dinh Square, establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. Previously, on August 28, 1945, President Ho Chi Minh signed a Declaration on the establishment of the Provisional Government's apparatus, which included 12 ministries. Mr. Pham Van Dong was the Minister of Finance. The tasks and functions assigned to the Ministry of Finance (MoF) by the Government are to serve all aspects of the Government's expenditure, build and manage the budget revenue and expenditure, and gradually build and develop the finance of independent Vietnam. Under the leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, the MoF effectively promoted the strength of the people's hearts during the early difficult days.
