Of the total, export turnover accounted for US$335.59 billion, up 14.9 percent, while import value stood at US$312.28 billion, up 16.8 percent against the same period last year.

In October alone, Viet Nam's total exports and imports were estimated at US$35.59 billion and US$33.6 billion, witnessing respective year-on-year increases of 4.4 percent and 5.8 percent.

The Southeast Asian country enjoyed a trade surplus of US$1.99 billion in October and US$23.31 billion in the January-October period.

Economic experts predicted that trade value is likely to touch the US$800 billion mark by year-end, far exceeding a record of US$732.5 billion seen in 2022, thanks to high demand from major markets such as the U.S., the EU, Japan and South Korea./.
